P40 Lounge Chair by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno
The P40 lounge chair was designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1955, following the success of the D70 divan. Wanting to extend the potential of a static armchair he devised a series of mechanical joints, creating a free moving mechanism that allowed the seat to assume different positions. The lounge chair is a great addition to any living or office space.
The backrest and seat are pivoted to permit all possible angles, giving the chair ability to unfurl in a fan-like manner from fully reclined to completely closed.
A hidden element beneath the seat can be unfolded to provide additional leg support and includes an integrated pull-out metal footrest.
