Fauteuil de Salon chair by Jean Prouvé for Vitra.
The perfect embodiment of Jean Prouvé’s structural design aesthetic, the Fauteuil de Salon chair has a distinct yet understated silhouette. Characterised by its tabular sloped legs, wooden armrests and plump seating, the armchair has an inviting presence and is perfect for lounging.
Although designed in 1939, the seat didn’t make it to production until it was later discovered in Prouvé’s archives. It is now manufactured by the Swiss manufacturer Vitra in a selection of colours chosen to suit modern tastes.
